Today was a lovely Sunday... started out cool and gloomy and then continued with the raindrops..and then a bit of lightning and thunder. DH and i decided to go on a little photomission ( term we use for when we want to go wander about whimsically and take pictures of anything and everything). We live in a town called Trecastagni, it is a mountain town about halfway to the top of Mt. Etna. Etna is a volcano, very active one at that. She is always steaming a bit out of the top, and maybe once to twice a month you can hear the booming of her really going off. It is a good sign though, better to have many little eruptions here and there then to have a huge one and end up like Pompei (God forbid..eek)! Living so close to the volcano also means we get to deal with raining ash, which means a lot of sweeping...sometimes it sounds like rain when the ash is coming down really hard.
Ok...back to our photomission on this rainy Sunday. These pictures are from the drive up the mountain today, once we reached the top we treated ourselves to an espresso in the warm Chalet then headed back down. I included one pic DH took of me in action...if i could i would just use all his pictures because he is so good...I will just have to strive to become as talented as him!!
Thanks for stopping by...
Sounds like the perfect way to spend the day....

How fun to go on a 'Photomission' (love the name) and gather all the lovely shots...my favorite is your precious Zoe and her binky, how sweet!
