Today Zoe is 5 months old. She has been living on this earth for merely 154 days. Korean tradition is to celebrate a baby's 100 days of life, with an elaborate celebration of family, friends, food and festivites. (that was a lot of 'f' haha). Back in the olden days a lot of children in korea didn't make it passed 100 days because of disease and lack of medical knowledge. so once they did hit that 100 day mark, it was a celebration. Koreans celebrate that still to this day. Along with celebrating 100 days of dating someone, 100 days of being married..I think they like that number! If we were home in the states I'm sure Korean grandma would surely have thrown her a nice 100 days party.. ( I used to call my grandma Korean grandma...so naturally my mom now has become korean grandma for Zoe). so what do we have on the agenda tonight to celebrate Zoe's 5 months or 154 days of life?? A nice, quiet evening cuddling with the family and watching Lord of the Rings. Yes...DH and I have just been in a LOTR mood lately, probably with the volcano eruption and foresty photomissions and rainy weather has got me craving the adventures of middle earth.

Fun feeding the fish!! I was trying to figure out how to make music play while someone reads my blog...I've gone to other's (check out "it's a small town life" blog...she has music play along) but, alas...I still don't know how to make lots of things on my blog so adding music would be a stretch.
