Otherworldly
DH was on his way out to work this morning and I heard him whispering my name to come downstairs, I know he wouldn't dare ask me to crawl out of our warm bed for any ol' reason...so I rolled my half-zombie body out of bed and down the stairs to see what all the hullaballoo was about...after I tripped on his backpack in the middle of the room I finally made it to the front door where he was standing. Looking out through the top of the trees and rooftops I saw the glowing red lava flowing from Etna. Even though it is so common now for us to experience these eruptions, everytime I see it I still stand in awe. For some reason this time I couldn't hear the booming like usual, so it almost seemed like a dream. DH grabbed his tripod so he could snap a pic on his way down to work. With the morning fog and clouds looming about it almost makes the mountain look as if she is floating. I can't help but always say in my head "the eye of sauron sees all...from Mordor" (LOTR anyone?...) anyways, here is the picture he got, by then it was done spewing and the lava was just flowing down.
