May I serenade You?
I was talking to DH the other day about the weekly music post that I've decided to start on my blog. He came up with another great idea....that I post a video of myself singing a song every week! A cover song most likely of some sort and then eventually I can start writing some of my own again. I have definitely not been practicing and singing like I used to...and I am always telling DH how I miss it and how I should keep on playing guitar and singing. This will be a good way to keep me practicing and help me get things started again!! The first video I am going to post is from last year, I was almost 8 months pregnant and I was just sitting on the couch playing and DH decided to record me. As you can see from the video it is very random and unpracticed and quite hilarious actually, I get all queasy and embarrassed watching myself...but you gotta start somewhere. I am singing (or trying to) 'The Only Exception' by Paramore. (Please excuse the dogs crunching away so diligently on their food....)

That is soooooo cute...love the singing (great voice and guitar)...now I know why zoe rocks..she's been hearing music from day one.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard that song before, very beautiful.
The camera man, crunching dog food in the background - too funny.
I love "the end...the end...okay, that's the end"
I hope one week we'll see zoe sitting with you while singing, this is a wonderful new idea and we'll look forward to this post the most!!
im practicing for next weeks post, i promise it will be more professional..no mistakes....and no dogs crunching in the background !!
ReplyDeletebeautiful! i love this idea. and good for you for putting yourself out there. i bet you will be more comfortable as time goes by!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness your dogs are loud eaters!! And you are amazing!! Gave me glossy eyes, which, according to my P, is impossible because I am a robot. That is a very beautiful song and you showed that. It is important you do not forget the things you love, especially if you are this good at it.
ReplyDeleteYippee. I'm excited for this blog idea. Beautiful voice.
