Paleo 'za!

It seems to be that time for a serenade...but that will be a little late this week.  I have been so caught up in new recipes and diet and cleaning out all our old junk food that I haven't found the time to practice a song for this week!! Forgive me?? I promise it will be up before the weekend is over.  I do have another recipe though, I have become quite a primal freak (DH says so) but i quite enjoy it.  I made almond butter the other day, with a touch of cinnamon and a wee bit o honey.  So good... this morning I drank a flax seed/banana/berry smoothie..also quite delicious.  Tonight I wanted to make a special Paleo dinner.  Paleo pizza! I adore pizza...like really really. So I had to try it the paleo way.  Paleo pizza is quite the oxymoron.  Cheese. bread.  Forbidden on the primal diet. But there is a way to satisfy that pizza craving the healthy primal way!! I made the crust out of coconut flour, almond meal, eggs, and garlic powder.  Thats it! So good.  Doesn't taste exactly like soft, buttery pizza dough from BJs...but its good enough for me.  I topped it with blackened chicken, sautĂ©ed bell peppers and mushrooms, and crushed tomatoes.  You can put anything you want on it pretty much as long as it is primal. duh. :) That is what I had in the fridge so i threw it on there. DH ate it, didn't say he loved it but he did like it. Thats good enough for me!! I loved it.

  1. you are quite creative with this new diet...and nice that DH is eating along too - would have to unless he wanted to wait until 10:00 p.m. and eat at a restaurant.
    I'm looking forward to eating dinner at your next living address when you return home...or the kitchen here, whichever the future brings
