On the future.

October 5th is the date.

Team Parra Sicily will be coming to an end, and Team Parra back on the homefront will begin.

We will cross the globe to reach our home, America, Southern California.

This decision was not an easy one to make.  Looking at it from the surface, it is of course easy to assume that it was.  Reasons being: we long for home, for family, for friends...we have been out here for 2 years so the time to go home this year seemed about right.  But there is one thing we will not have at home that we have here in Sicily...security.  The assurance that comes with a steady job that pays well and without a doubt will have all the bills paid and mouths fed.

DH and I have come to a point in our lives, however, where having the security of a job is just not cutting it...we don't want to live the rest of our lives doing things just because they are 'safe' or because we know for sure that we will have a paycheck.  Which is why we have started a project (details soon to come) that will start when we go home.  It has already begun but won't be going into fruition until we are home.  This has been a big decision for us, a risky one, where we question ourselves every day and are doubted by almost everyone around us.  Which is to be expected.

Embarking on this endeavor with DH has brought us closer and has made our lives so much happier, given us a purpose and motivation to make a good life for us and for Zoe.

Our family has been extremely supportive and none of this would be possible without them!
